The process from start to finish
Reservation
We are excited to support you in your journey and look forward to our upcoming interview! To ensure your spot is reserved, we kindly require a $75 reservation deposit at the time of booking. This deposit will be conveniently applied to your final balance, making the process streamlined for you. We understand that plans can change. Therefore, your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, as it allows us to provide an efficient experience for all our clients. Reserve your time with confidence, knowing that we're committed to making your experience smooth and enjoyable. We can’t wait to meet you!
Preparation
We will send a few basic questions to begin the process of thinking of the past and gathering memories and stories to share. This allows one to start thinking about their past and maybe some good stories they want to share. Allowing the interviewee to diverge from the format encourages a more natural and genuine conversation, enabling them to share their stories in a way that feels comfortable and authentic to them. This flexibility can lead to unexpected insights and joyful moments, making the experience more memorable and impactful for the viewer. We will always try to steer the story to be positive and upbeat making it easier for others to connect and engage with the story.
Interview
Having a familiar face can really help ease any nerves and encourage a natural flow of conversation. Keeping it casual will likely lead to more genuine responses, allowing for a deeper understanding of their life and perspectives. Interviews tend to last 30 minutes to an hour and a half.
Delivery
We are committed to completing your video and will begin working on it shortly. Please allow us 7-10 business days for the final product. Once finished, we will mail your video and provide a private URL for you to share with family and friends. Thank you for your understanding!
I agreed to do " Speaking Notes" with Lifetime Productions because I personally had very little knowledge of my extended relatives. My father was an only child and from a split family. My mother was from Canada and moved to the States. My parents did not talk about their families. I was left knowing very little to none about who was extended family. I wanted to leave something to my children, grandchildren that let them know my " story". By doing " Speaking Notes" it allowed me to say both what I wanted and needed to pass down. I felt very comfortable and relaxed and knowing I was able to express what was important with love and laughter. Thank you Lifetime Productions for giving me this opportunity.
I am so glad we have created professional memory videos for myself and my husband. My husband has been diagnosed with dementia and now he could never tell the story of his life with the same expression and detail as he did in his video. These videos will serve as keepsakes for our children, grandchildren, special events and our funerals. What a great idea to create a professional memory that captures both our personalities as well as our stories before we are no longer able to do so!
Both my husband and I have done one of these videos so we have it to pass down to our children and our grandchildren. This is a way we feel like we can connect with them in the future when we are not there to answer all those questions that they may have. I wish that my parents and grandparents had done something like this so I could have it today.
